Welcome to the Sailing Club! This club is for anyone who likes sailing boats and ships. If you love to sail, or you love reading about sailing, or watching movies about sailing - anything to do with sailing - this club is for you.

Wanna join the club?
We'd love to have you! Just send a note to the club saying you'd like to join. If you feel so inclined, send a funny sailing anecdote that I can post up, too.
Note: If you watch the club but don't send a note, I will assume you don't want to join, so please remember to do this.

Submissions
To make a submission, send a note to the club with a link to the art you'd like to submit along with anything about the original you'd like to change (e.g. the description, category etc.)

Stuff

Avatar competition! Design an avatar, send it in, and you guys can vote on the best one. (Although the avatar we have now is cool, we really do need a new one cos this is ripped from Leeuwin's page and it probably isn't strictly legal.)

"Okay, I'm only a beginner sailor, and I've signed up for a sailing course for next term. They've given me of 4 types of boats to be coached in. I get to choose from - a spiral, laser, flying 11 and a topper. I don't know which one to choose.

I've been in Toppers a lot and their boring, but I haven't been in any of the others. I'd like one thats fun and a bit of a challenge to sail.

News:
STS Leeuwin II  Is coming back to Fremantle port. So lots of daysail opportunities, plus there is a refit.

This isn't really news, but I found this book at a second hand sale (I couldn't believe my luck) which is like a fake sailing dictionary. It's hilarious, so if you see it, you've gotta check it out. I would put up some quotes and stuff from it, but my computer has trouble updating my profile. I'll give it a go.
